(More customer reviews)This is a feature-full PoE switch in a metal case. The case isn't 19", though, so while it comes with rackmount brackets it won't fit a standard rack. That is my biggest gripe. It also throttles power based on the number of ports powered. Port 1 can support 25w, but if you use all 8 as PoE it throttles all back to 7w ea. I also found the paper documentation lacking, they devote pages to ethernet theory and punching schemes but omit how to log into the management interface. (I'm buying a gigabit PoE switch that supports fiber. I think I know how a network works.) The missing information was quickly found via google, and probably on the documentation cd, but still should be in the printed manual. The management interface has some issues with different ports, as well. While configuring vlans I had to reset the unit after each change to get the daemon to listen on a different port or the newly vlan tagged port. Keep it close when configuring.
Other than these I haven't yet found any deficiencies. The management web page is fairly intuitive and eay to use. It supports trunking, vlans, LLDP, RSTP, and QoS. The SFP port works with a standard FTLF8519P2BNL gbic. It is a good cost value for powering multiple class 1/2 PoE devices.
