(More customer reviews)I bought this Startech SATSASBAY3BK, the plug-ins were all on the correct side, not on both sides which are hard to reach and plug in once it is in the computer. I first tried it without putting it into the computer by plugging in the molex plug-ins, and one sata cable and one drive. Pushing the respective hard drive button on for that drive, and ta-da it worked! My drives are now running in the 80's - 90's F range and they were running in the 120 F range! The leds show hard drive activity, so don't be alarmed when you see little flashes of red/orange. The instruction manual leaves much to be desired, so I downloaded information on the Startech site, which helped a little. The fan is LOUD on high. I am going to turn it down. Installation did not hamper the case or jam anything together inside my case either, whew! I like that you can lock the drives in, but they are not tamper proof in a work enviornment. The device also has a temperature alarm and you can set the alarm to go off at different settings. This device works with older western digital hard drives - caviar, and velociraptor too. The device is sturdy and well made. I tried the Icy Dock ICY DOCK MB453IPF-B and it was flimsy and had wires in the back where the hard drives connected that bent easily, it never even started.
