(More customer reviews)I bought this item in white. I chose this particular item because I thought it was more attractive than other utilitarian media storage units.
When I opened the box to assemble the unit I thought it was flimsy, but it did initially look nice once put together. However, the shelves are only thick paperboard and within a day of holding DVDs began to bow. This makes it look indisputably cheap and ugly.
I like the style, but it can't perform the function for which it was designed without deforming. I will need to replace this unit with something more sturdy, so this was a terrible investment.
