(More customer reviews)This is a good product for video distribution and remote control of DVR's from anywhere in the home. The signal quality is great and the IR system works flawlessly after you get past the quality issue with the IR hardware. I am not using the antenna/CATV input so I can't attest to that function.

The DA-8200HHR high-headroom RF amplifier distributes an antenna or cable TV signal to up to eight separate TVs, making it the heart of a multi-room entertainment system. Thanks to the unit's internal high-headroom amplifier, each TV--even ones located as far away as 150 feet--receives a clean, crisp signal and a high-end picture. This remains true whether you still use analog or you've converted to HDTV and other digital formats. It even permits system expansion up to 64 TVs, making it a great fit for sports bars and other entertainment hubs.
The DA-8200HHR features three inputs: one for the off-air antenna or cable TV, and two for the Channel Plus 5400, 5500, or SVM series modulators. The unit can be powered locally with its included power supply, or remotely from up to 75 feet away by installing an in-wall power injector (model 2010) or a 5500 series or SVM modulator. In addition, the integrated 5-volt IR engine facilitates instant control of any connected video device from several locations when used with the 2133 set-top IR and 2173 emitter. The dual modulator inputs also let you easily add locally generated channels for a front-door camera, DVD, or VCR.
Specifications include 54 MHz to 1 GHz forward bandwidth, 3 dB nominal gain on TV outputs, and a maximum input level of 20 dBmv. The amp is rack-mountable--it fits quickly and easily in the Channel Plus 19-inch rack--and measures 6.5 by 1.25 by 4.5 inches (W x H x D). The DA-8200HHR carries a one-year warranty.
