(More customer reviews)So what do you do when you have two Alpine SWR-1221D subs left over when you trade your car in for a truck? Build a box and buy this amp. The Alpine's have two 2-ohm voice coils each so I wired each voice coil in series to the 4-ohms that this amp requires when hooking up two subs and it works great. I have it hooked up to an Onkyo TX-S608 Home Theater receiver. I consider using a DJ amp since the receiver has its own crossover that I'm using with this amp, but I was concerned about the fan noise from those designs. This amp seems tailor made to the task. When providing support bass i.e. not busting down the house the amp runs completely cold. I believe it has more headroom than I'll ever use a steal at the Amazon price.
