(More customer reviews)If you are looking for a UPS/Power Conditioner for Home Theatre use, Do Not buy the HTR22-2U, unless you can place it in a totally soundproof room! I purchased it because its technical specs seemed outstanding. However, once I received it, placed it into my Home Theatre rack, and turned it on, I couldn't believe the noise levels put out by the cooling fan. I turned my TV volume up to 80 (out of 100) and could still hear the HTR22 over the TV. It was louder than the TV in the adjacent room, as well. And, the fan runs all the time.
I checked with Tripp Lite and they confirmed that this unit is noisy. So unless you have a sonically isolated room for your equipment, the HTR22 is not suitable.
